Hillsdale Fine Arts Calendar Design

Hillsdale College mails a fine arts calendar each year to highlight events across the department. For 2025–2026, I chose a bright, playful mid-century modern theme while carrying over last year’s typographic layout. I selected dynamic images from dance, music, theater, and art programs, using the most energetic moments to create movement across the piece. On the cover, which is the first part seen in the mail, I arranged four images from a play so that two actors appear to dance across the page. I created custom mid-century modern graphics and applied a playful vintage color palette to unify and enhance the photography. Once the concept was finalized, I adapted the visual system to a series of three six-foot-tall banners displayed in the arts buildings throughout the school year.
